by Jan Cornelis van der Veer Visit Date:March 7, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Rooms are completely renovated, looking smarter and very clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is just OK. They focus on Asian market. Please bear in mind that it is popular for group tours; making a lot of noise in the morning and late at night and in the breakfast room. Someone banged our door at night twice and once again in early morning. Hotel staff tried to handle them, but failed. Internet in room works well. Location can be complicated for taxi driver to find the hotel. We recommend you to carry hotel map with you. Next door there are two 24-hour-minimarts which come to convenience when you need grocer and first aid medicine. Across the hotel there is a small food house offering local cuisine with good price and quality. There is also night market and many simple local food houses nearby. If you can deal with simple local food, you will survive at almost no coast. The hotel seems to be for ones who have to do business with one of many government bureaus on Changwattana road. Therefore try to avoid rush hour on this road; it is a nightmare! 15 Minutes with taxi you can reach ‘The Avenue, Changwattana’ located between Lotus and Big C supermarkets. It houses cinemas and good restaurants starting from Thai, Japanese and Western cuisines. 25 Min. from the hotel you will find huge Central Changwattana shopping centre, also housing supermarket, cinemas, decent Western and Asian restaurants and etc. everything you need under one roof. Going to downtown: better take taxi to Chatujak weekend market. There you can continue to downtown with skytrain (BTS) which save your time and taxi coast a lot [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | March 10, 2012
by Ricardo D Binalber Visit Date:February 23, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Hotel is indeed hard to find. It is near IT Square otherwise known as Laksi Plaza - both names seem to be well known by most cab drivers. Better to have the driver call for direction from the hotel. Airport limo cost us 1,400 Bath, the curbside taxi with meter will be about 350 - 400 baht plus 100 baht for toll fees. This hotel is 55-60 km from BKK, but it is closer to the old airport which is now being used for the domestic flights. Yes... it is far from the tourist spots, located in the middle of locals with plenty of small shops, Seven Eleven, minimart, barber shop, etc.,. lots of food vendors in the evening, few good restaurants 5 - 10 min away. Breakfast is mainly asian with some western items. This hotel worked well for us, enough to re-booked after our trip to another country nearby. Rooms are newly renovated....and renovation is still going on in some part of the hotel. We don t mind using it again for our future visit. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Very satisfy..good service..., March 4, 2011

Did have wifi available but the hotel is about 30 minutes ride from the centre of Bangkok." | October 9, 2008 by Rodney Charman Visit Date:October 7, 2008 "I have stay in Xen Suites (ex Quality Suites Bangkok) 3 times in the last month and I am sorry to say this hotel has new owners. The staffs are very nice and the rooms are good but the hotel dose not gives you the services as the old hotel did. There is no tea and coffee in room, the min bar in room half empty, out of my 3 stay only one room had a safe, there no Gym/Fitness Facilities now in fact the gym is just an empty room, no beds around the swimming pool, Satellite/Cable TV in rooms only have few channel now only one in English Asia news, no hair dryer, no buffet Breakfast and the restaurant in that use to have a good menu and a good selection of red and white wines is no longer. What the Xen Suites Bangkok hotel services advertise is not so it is a great shame and the staff who work for the old management my feel sad of the backward move. Only had 2 days there but now booking to stay for a week as my base in Bangkok.Rodney and TeayEngland and Thai" | No problems as usual., April 20, 2008 by Andrew Sargent Visit Date:March 28, 2008 "Room was a suite (separate lounge and bedroom) which was clean and good value. Staff friendly. The only issue was that I thought the shuttle to Don Muang was complementary, I was advised it wasn t, charge was 200 baht, which went up to 300 baht because we had 4 bags! The airport is 5 minutes away so get a taxi from outside if you want to save money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Without any problem. We had booked airport pick-up but were afraid that the driver would not turn up as was the case when we had arrived in Bangkok three weeks earlier. Fortunately the driver waited for us at the airport., April 8, 2008 by Britt Bergkvist Visit Date:March 2, 2008 "We only stayed one night at this hotel on our way from Koh Lanta to Kanchanaburi. We are a family of five adults and three children, and had booked two deluxe suites. Each suite consisted of a sitting room and two bedrooms, much more space than we needed for just one night. The rooms were clean and well equipped. For a family who plans to stay several nights in Bangkok this would be perfect. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | January 27, 2008 by Kaweewut Wuttiwipoo Visit Date:January 18, 2008 "Spacious room. good price. OK location. Hard to find even for a local. No sign from main road. " | Excellent as always. We have used Sawadee hundreds of times and never had a problem., December 23, 2007 by William Bickerton Visit Date:December 18, 2007 "I am a resident of Thailand and my wife is Thai. We have stayed at this hotel many times over recent years but this time they really blew it and we will never use the place again. The mattress on our bed (It was a Bt2,600 suite)was so hard that we could not sleep so my wife decided to turn the mattress to see if that would make a difference. In the process she accidentally broke the bedside lamp and they created a huge carry on and insisted that we pay Bt3,500 for the lamp. Of course I refused and told them to use their insurance but they persisted. Finally I agreed to pay them Bt1,000. I then drove to Central shopping centre and priced the same lamp at Bt1,500. I was so angry that they had told me lies about the cost of the lamp.I consider this to be an absolute disgrace. I travel constantly and have never experienced such treatment as a hotel guest before. Be careful. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Efficient, as usual., December 30, 2007 by ANG Sin Ghee Visit Date:December 15, 2007 "This hotel had seen better times. But the suites are huge and they only had king-sized beds, even for twin rooms. Good for families on holiday. Difficult to find, which translates into difficulty in getting taxis. The good thing is the taxis that you then manage to flag down would use the meters. The breakfast was ok, even though there were only 2 families in the cafe. " | July 20, 2007 by Jill Massengill Visit Date:July 1, 2007 "Nice hotel with big rooms, we had the large suite. Free shuttle to Don Muang Airport was nice." | As always, quick and efficient., June 4, 2007 by Kimberly Kohr Visit Date:May 30, 2007 "A bit dated but clean and comfortable. Staff excellent, free upgrades to deluxe suite and buffet brekkie. Not really close to anything but Don Muang. Hotel will arrange shuttle to markets, etc. Taxi s plentiful. A night market sets up next door with great food stalls. Be sure to have a printout with directions for taxi from BKK. 350 Baht inc tolls. Great hotel to overnight before/after a domestic flight. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Hotels & Resorts RecommendDestination:Koh Samui Location:Chaweng Beach Address:14/7 Moo 2, Chaweng Beach City:Koh Samui 84320 Start Rate:54 USD (Rate as of May 24 2012 02:04:08 GMT) Destination:Phuket Location:Kata Beach Address:38 Katekwan Road, Tambol Karon City:Amphur Muang, Phuket 83100 Start Rate:32 USD (Rate as of May 24 2012 02:04:18 GMT) Destination:Pattaya Location:Pattaya North, Beach Rd.
